Toronto Police Seek Help Identifying 10th Homicide Victim

Toronto police are seeking the public's assistance in identifying a man who was found murdered in a Moss Park garage over the weekend, marking the city's 10th homicide of 2026.

On Saturday, May 23, just before 9:30 a.m., emergency crews responded to a medical complaint near Dundas Street East and Seaton Street, east of Sherbourne. Upon arrival, officers were flagged down by a citizen and directed to an unresponsive person inside a nearby private garage.

Police report that the victim showed "obvious signs of trauma" and was pronounced dead at the scene. Two days later, on Monday, May 25, authorities arrested 30-year-old Toronto man Boubacar Dembele, charging him with second-degree murder.
