A man wanted in connection with gunfire at two synagogues in Toronto and Vaughan has been arrested, police announced on Wednesday.

Authorities said the suspect is alleged to have fired shots at Shaarei Shomayim synagogue in Toronto and another synagogue in Vaughan. Bullet holes were discovered in the front door of the Shaarei Shomayim synagogue at 470 Glencairn Ave. on March 7. No injuries were reported in either incident.
Investigation and Arrest
Toronto police launched an investigation and identified a suspect, who was later taken into custody. The arrest was made without incident, and charges are pending. Police have not released the suspect's name, citing an ongoing investigation.
Authorities are treating the shootings as hate-motivated crimes. Community leaders have condemned the attacks and called for increased security at places of worship.
