Son of Hamas Warns Canada: Islamists Exploit Freedoms to Destroy Them
Son of Hamas Warns Canada About Islamist Threat

Mosab Hassan Yousef, once destined to inherit leadership within Hamas, has emerged as one of the most vocal critics of Islamist extremism, delivering a stark warning to Canada about the creeping influence of radical ideologies in Western societies.

From Hamas Heir to Israeli Informant

Born in Ramallah in 1978, Yousef grew up as the eldest son of Sheikh Hassan Yousef, one of the founding leaders of the Hamas terrorist organization. Immersed in jihadist ideology from childhood, he was being groomed to continue his father's legacy until a profound crisis of conscience changed everything.

His transformation began in the late 1990s after witnessing brutal acts of violence committed by Hamas against suspected collaborators. This disillusionment led him to an unlikely alliance with Shin Bet, Israel's internal security agency, where he operated under the codename "The Green Prince." For nearly a decade, Yousef worked undercover to sabotage terrorist plots, claiming to have saved hundreds of lives—both Israeli and Palestinian.

Canadian Speaking Tour and Warnings

Yousef's recent appearance in Toronto on November 19, organized by the pro-Israel group Tafsik, came at a time of heightened tensions following Palestinian flag raisings in several Canadian cities including Toronto, Calgary, and Winnipeg.

He delivered scathing criticism of Canadian politicians, accusing them of being "hypocrites looking for votes" who are effectively "supporting chaos and terrorism" through their actions. The former Hamas insider didn't mince words about anti-Israel demonstrators, stating they are "spitting venom, taking advantage of Gaza's tragedy" while "using your freedoms to destroy your freedoms."

Confronting the "Death Culture"

Yousef described his upbringing within what he called a "death culture" where "women are treated like cattle, as property" and children are "fed from an early age how to hate, in the name of resistance and occupation."

He characterized Islamists as "savages" with whom negotiation is impossible, accusing them of perpetuating an "inverted narrative" that projects genocide and colonization accusations onto Israel while being guilty of those very crimes themselves.

In his exclusive interview with National Post's Dave Gordon, Yousef addressed the Canadian government's approach directly: "The problem with the government of Canada is they have been platforming Palestine. This is the biggest antisemitism out there—rewarding Palestinians for their violence, then expecting from such a government to actually be fair to the Jews."

Yousef's journey from Hamas royalty to Christian convert and American citizen has been documented in his bestselling memoirs, "Son of Hamas" (2010) and the more recent "From Hamas to America," which explores the complex consequences of his choices, including his permanent estrangement from his family and homeland.
