The Saskatoon Police Service is investigating the city's sixth homicide of 2026 following the death of a 55-year-old man in hospital.
Officers responded at approximately 10:54 p.m. on Friday to a report of an injured person in the 2200 block of 22nd Street, according to a news release issued Sunday.
Upon arrival, police located an unresponsive male. Medavie Health Services West transported him to hospital, where he later died on Saturday.
The Major Crimes Section, along with the Forensic Identification Section, are continuing the investigation. No further details have been released at this time.
This marks the sixth homicide in Saskatoon in 2026, highlighting ongoing concerns about violent crime in the city.
