A man from Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, is facing multiple charges related to child exploitation following an investigation by the Prince Albert Police Service and the Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) unit. The investigation began after authorities received a tip regarding online activities involving child sexual abuse material.
The accused, whose identity has not been released to protect the integrity of the ongoing investigation, was arrested earlier this week. He faces charges including possession, accessing, and distribution of child pornography, as well as making available child sexual abuse material. The charges stem from alleged incidents that occurred between January and May 2026.
Police executed a search warrant at a residence in Prince Albert, where they seized electronic devices and other evidence. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities believe there may be additional victims. The accused is scheduled to appear in Prince Albert Provincial Court on June 15, 2026.
This case highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to combat child exploitation in Saskatchewan. The Saskatchewan ICE unit, a partnership between local police and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, has been instrumental in identifying and apprehending individuals involved in these crimes. The public is urged to report any suspicious online activity to authorities.
