Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the Office of the Ontario Fire Marshal are investigating a residential fire in Lakeshore that has been deemed suspicious. The blaze occurred on April 28 at approximately 2:30 a.m. at a home on North Rear Road in Lakeshore.
Police and Lakeshore firefighters responded to the scene. According to officials, the residence was empty at the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported. The fire was classified as suspicious, prompting a joint investigation by the Essex County OPP crime unit and the Ontario Fire Marshal.
Authorities have not yet provided a damage estimate or a detailed description of the damage to the home. Investigators are urging residents and businesses in the surrounding area to review any available security or surveillance footage for suspicious activity around the time of the incident that may assist in the investigation.
