A man was transported to hospital with head injuries following an altercation outside a downtown Windsor bar on Sunday evening.
Incident Details
Windsor police responded to a report of an assault at a licensed establishment in the 300 block of Ouellette Avenue just after 8 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered an unconscious man lying on the sidewalk outside the business.
According to police, the injured man and the suspect were acquainted and became involved in a physical confrontation. During the altercation, the victim was allegedly punched, causing him to fall and lose consciousness. The suspect then reportedly kicked the victim in the head.
Medical Response and Charges
The injured man was taken to hospital with injuries that police described as non-life-threatening. A 36-year-old man has been charged with assault causing bodily harm in connection with the incident.
