Man Arrested After Approaching Children Near Munster Centre

Ottawa police have arrested a man following an investigation into a suspicious incident involving children near the Munster Community Centre, with charges pending.

Incident Details

On June 17, four children under the age of 12 were approached by an unknown man driving a sport utility vehicle near the community centre. The man reportedly made inappropriate sexual comments toward the children before leaving the area.

Police confirmed there were no injuries and no physical contact. Investigators continue to interview those involved.

Police Response

The Ottawa Police Service issued a news release on June 18 stating that charges are pending against the arrested individual, who has not been identified. The investigation is ongoing.
