Vice President JD Vance Shares Spiritual Interpretation of UFO Phenomena
Vice President JD Vance recently expressed his unique perspective on the existence of aliens, offering a faith-based explanation during an interview with conservative podcaster Benny Johnson. The conversation, posted on Saturday, delved into government research on extraterrestrial life, with Vance revealing a more spiritual take on what might be behind UFO sightings.
Vance's Demonic Theory Over Alien Explanations
In the interview, Vance, author of "Hillbilly Elegy," stated that he is "more curious than anybody" about official investigations into life on other planets. However, he diverged from conventional alien theories, asserting, "I don't think they're aliens. I think they're demons anyway, but that's a longer discussion." When pressed by Johnson for further elaboration, Vance expanded on his viewpoint.
He described celestial beings that "fly around" and "do weird things to people," criticizing the tendency to label all otherworldly phenomena as alien. "I mean, every great world religion, including Christianity, the one that I believe in, has understood that there are weird things out there and there are things that are very difficult to explain," Vance explained. Having grown up as an atheist and converted to Catholicism as an adult, he emphasized that his faith provides answers for supernatural occurrences.
Faith as a Framework for Understanding the Supernatural
Vance told Johnson that when he hears about extra-natural phenomena, he naturally turns to Christian teachings. "I naturally go ― when I hear about, sort of, extra natural phenomenon, that's where I go to ― to the Christian understanding that there's a lot of good out there, but there's also some evil out there," he said. He further suggested that "one of the devil's great tricks is to convince people he never existed," implying that demonic forces might be masquerading as aliens to obscure their true nature.
White House Interest in UFOs and Upcoming Revelations
This discussion comes amid heightened interest in UFOs within the White House. Last month, President Donald Trump announced on Truth Social plans to release "government files related to alien and extraterrestrial life, unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), and unidentified flying objects (UFOs)." This move could soon provide more answers to long-standing questions about these mysterious sightings.
Vance and Trump are not alone in their curiosity. During an appearance on the New York Post's "Pod Force One" last October, Vance revealed that Secretary of State Marco Rubio is also fascinated by the topic. "We talked about this a little. We talked about this back in our Senate days," Vance shared, adding humorously that "all of us put the tinfoil hat on from time to time," indicating a shared, albeit lighthearted, interest in UFO theories among high-ranking officials.
The vice president's comments highlight a growing intersection between political discourse and supernatural beliefs, as debates over UFOs continue to capture public imagination. With potential government disclosures on the horizon, Vance's demonic interpretation adds a unique, faith-driven dimension to the ongoing conversation about what might truly be behind unexplained aerial phenomena.
