A fatal shooting occurred late Tuesday night on a quiet crescent road in Langley, leaving one person dead. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has assumed control of the case.
Details of the Incident
First responders from the Langley RCMP, Langley City Fire Rescue Service, and B.C. Ambulance Service were dispatched to the 5400-block of Brydon Crescent shortly after 11:30 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered an individual in medical distress, who was later pronounced dead at the scene, according to Sgt. Zynal Sharoom in a news release.
Investigation Underway
IHIT has been called in to lead the investigation. Sharoom stated that officers will be present in the neighborhood on Wednesday to collect evidence and interview witnesses. “The investigation is still in its early stages, and any further information will be provided by the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team,” he added.
