Calgary police are investigating a homicide in the city's Woodlands community after a serious assault early Wednesday morning left one person dead.
Incident Details
Officers responded to a call around 5:40 a.m. in the 2100 block of Woodview Drive S.W. Upon arrival, they found a victim suffering from severe injuries. Despite efforts, the victim succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
Road Closure
As part of the ongoing investigation, Woodhill Close to Woodpark Boulevard is closed to traffic. Police have not released further details about the suspect or the circumstances leading to the assault.
The Calgary Police Service's Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
