Edmonton police have launched an investigation into the suspicious death of a three-year-old girl whose body was discovered inside a downtown-area apartment over the weekend.
Emergency crews responded to a multi-unit residence near 91 Street and Jasper Avenue shortly before 8:40 p.m. on Saturday. The child was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to investigators, the circumstances surrounding the death are considered suspicious, prompting the Edmonton Police Service homicide unit to take over the case.
Autopsy Scheduled
