Details of the Incident

According to police, officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Queen Street East and Kennedy Road South around 4:30 p.m. During the stop, the driver allegedly accelerated and struck one of the officers before fleeing the scene. The officer sustained minor injuries and was treated at a local hospital.

Charges Laid

Munoz was located and arrested later that evening. He faces charges including assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and flight from police. He appeared in court on June 13 and was remanded into custody.
