Greater Sudbury Police have confirmed that a body was discovered at the scene of a residential fire in Levack early Friday morning.

Fire Details

Greater Sudbury Fire Services responded to the blaze on Second Avenue in Levack. The fire was reported around 2:36 AM EDT on June 12, 2026.

Upon extinguishing the flames, firefighters located a deceased individual inside the residence. Police were immediately notified and have taken over the investigation.

Investigation Underway

Sudbury police are treating the death as suspicious. The identity of the deceased has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
