Bannon Predicts GOP Will Lose Senate in 2026

Steve Bannon delivered a damning prediction for Republicans ahead of the 2026 midterm elections. Many political observers have forecast that the GOP could lose control of the House in November. But Bannon, the former first-term Trump White House chief strategist turned MAGA podcaster, suggested Republicans could lose the majority in the Senate as well.

Bannon's Dire Warning

"We're going to lose the Senate in the fall anyway," the convicted fraudster declared on Thursday's episode of his "War Room" podcast, while calling for a "showdown" with Senate Republicans he claimed are treating President Donald Trump worse than a lame duck.

Nobody in the GOP is "excited about going door to door and doing voter engagement," the convicted fraudster argued, adding that "the old way of putting a couple hundred million dollars in and buying TV ads on Fox and CNN doesn't work anymore."

Outdated Strategies

"That's old school. Does not work. There's been a new day, and the Senate's got to understand that, or we're going to lose the Senate," added Bannon, who has repeatedly called for Trump to serve an unconstitutional third term.

In a later segment, Bannon again criticized poor voter outreach of Republicans, who could face a tough time at the ballot box amid backlash to the Trump administration, and warned: "You're going to lose the Senate. And right now, it looks like you want to lose the Senate."

Bannon's comments underscore growing internal tensions within the GOP as the party grapples with its future direction and electoral prospects. The former strategist's critique of Senate Republicans highlights a rift between grassroots MAGA supporters and establishment figures, potentially complicating efforts to maintain congressional majorities.
