York Regional Police have confirmed that an Aurora man who disappeared nearly four years ago was the victim of a homicide. The case, which had remained unsolved since his disappearance, has now been reclassified as a murder investigation.

The man was last seen in Aurora, Ontario, in August 2022. His family reported him missing shortly after, sparking a search that yielded no results at the time. Over the years, police continued to investigate, but leads were scarce.
Police Statement
In a press conference on Thursday, Detective Sergeant Mike Kelly of the York Regional Police Homicide Unit stated, “We have gathered enough evidence to determine that this individual was murdered. We are now appealing to the public for any information that could help us bring those responsible to justice.”
Police did not disclose the specific evidence that led to the reclassification but emphasized that the investigation remains active. They are urging anyone with information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, to come forward.
