AOC and Kamlager-Dove Slam Trump Passport Page as 'Monopoly Money'
AOC and Kamlager-Dove Slam Trump Passport Page

Democratic Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (N.Y.) and Sydney Kamlager-Dove (Calif.) did not hold back their criticism of the State Department’s controversial decision to feature an image of former President Donald Trump on a new special edition passport.

Ocasio-Cortez's Reaction

Ocasio-Cortez told MeidasTouch Network’s Pablo Manríquez on Wednesday that the design gave off “Monopoly money” vibes. She suggested Trump was “jealous that Mount Rushmore got a page and you’ve got four presidents in there and he’s probably saying, ‘Why don’t I get a passport page?’”

She also hinted that administration officials were complicit, saying, “I think there’s also like all these lower-level people competing for his love and attention as well.”

Kamlager-Dove's Remarks

Kamlager-Dove was equally blunt, stating, “It makes me not want to have a passport because lord knows when I’m travelling, I don’t want to have to turn the page and everyone sees that orange turd on my passport.”

The comments come amid ongoing debate over the State Department's decision to include Trump's image on the passport, which critics view as a politicization of official documents.
