Toronto police are searching for three suspects following a triple shooting in North York that left a 22-year-old man dead and two others injured. The incident occurred late Thursday evening in the area of Jane Street and Finch Avenue West.
Details of the Shooting
Officers responded to reports of gunfire around 10:30 p.m. on July 10, 2026. Upon arrival, they found three victims suffering from gunshot wounds. The 22-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other victims, a man and a woman, were transported to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
According to police, the suspects fled the scene before officers arrived. No descriptions have been released yet, but investigators are reviewing surveillance footage and speaking with witnesses.
Investigation Ongoing
Homicide detectives have taken over the investigation. “We are in the early stages of this investigation and are appealing to anyone who may have information to come forward,” said Detective Sergeant John Smith of the Toronto Police Homicide Unit. “We believe this was a targeted incident, but we are still determining the motive.”
