Stratford police have laid drug trafficking charges after a months-long investigation that resulted in the seizure of nearly $40,000 in controlled substances, according to the Stratford Police Service.

The investigation, which spanned several months, culminated in the seizure of a variety of drugs valued at approximately $40,000. Police did not specify the exact types of substances recovered but described them as controlled substances under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
“This was a complex investigation that required significant resources and coordination,” said a spokesperson for the Stratford Police Service in a statement. “We are committed to disrupting the illegal drug trade in our community and holding those responsible accountable.”
Charges laid
As a result of the investigation, police have charged individuals with drug trafficking and related offenses. The names of the accused have not been released pending their first court appearance. The investigation remains ongoing, and police say further charges are possible.
