A 36-year-old man from Regina has been charged with offences related to child sexual exploitation material, following an investigation by the Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit.
The multi-jurisdictional team, which includes officers from Regina, Saskatoon, and the RCMP, executed a search warrant at a residence in Regina on May 14, according to a news release issued by the Regina Police Service on Thursday.
Investigators examined and seized electronic devices at the scene, the release stated.
As a result of the investigation, the man was arrested on Wednesday and charged with possessing child sexual abuse and exploitation material, as well as making available child sexual abuse and exploitation material.
He made his first court appearance on the charges in provincial court on Thursday.
