An Amber alert has been issued for a six-year-old boy from Beaverlodge, Alberta, who was abducted and last seen in Fort St. John, British Columbia, on Thursday morning.

Details of the Abduction

RCMP in Beaverlodge are leading the search for Lanakai Morrison. He was last seen in Fort St. John at approximately 9:30 a.m. on July 9, 2026. Police have identified the suspect as Krista Morrison, described as five-foot-eight inches tall with long dark brown hair. The pair may be travelling with Daniel Ludwig, a 35-year-old white male, five-foot-eleven inches tall, with a large build, shaved head, and brown eyes.

Additional Information

Authorities believe that four-year-old Karl Morrison may also be with them. Karl is described as having a slight build, with long dirty blonde hair and brown eyes. The group is believed to be driving a 2006 red Ford F350 with Alberta license plate CXW8820.

Police have warned the public not to approach the individuals or the vehicle. Anyone with information is urged to call 911 immediately. The RCMP continues to investigate and is asking for the public's assistance in locating the child.
