Windsor police have arrested one individual and are searching for two more suspects in connection with the theft of exotic birds, according to a June 25 update from the Windsor Police Service.
Suspects Identified
Mahmoud Moe Khalaf, also known as Darwish, is wanted in the investigation. Another suspect, believed to go by the name Darwish, remains at large. The arrested suspect has not been named publicly.
The theft involved exotic birds, though authorities have not disclosed the species or number of birds taken. The investigation is ongoing.
Police Appeal for Information
Windsor police are asking anyone with information to contact them or Crime Stoppers anonymously. The case highlights ongoing concerns about wildlife trafficking in the region.
