The winning ticket was purchased at a convenience store in Calgary. The couple matched all seven numbers to claim the jackpot. According to the Western Canada Lottery Corporation (WCLC), the odds of winning the Lotto Max jackpot are 1 in 33,294,800.
Plans for the Windfall
Polyak and Rudolph said they plan to retire immediately and travel. “We’ve worked hard all our lives, and now we can finally enjoy the fruits of our labor,” Polyak said in a statement. “We’re looking forward to seeing the world and spending more time with family.”

The win is a life-changing event for the couple, who said they will also donate a portion of their winnings to local charities. “We want to give back to the community that has supported us,” Rudolph added.
