Harrison Hall and James Kramer have opened Saskatchewan's first fully non-alcoholic beverage store in Saskatoon, providing a dedicated retail space for alcohol-free drinks. The store, which launched in July 2026, aims to cater to a growing demand for non-alcoholic options in the province.
What the Store Offers
The store features a wide range of non-alcoholic beverages, including beers, wines, spirits, and mocktails, sourced from local and international producers. Hall and Kramer emphasized that the selection is curated to appeal to both those who choose not to drink alcohol and those looking to reduce their consumption.
"We wanted to create a space where everyone can find something they enjoy, whether they are sober, sober-curious, or just looking for a tasty drink without the alcohol," Hall said in an interview. The store also hosts tasting events and educational sessions about non-alcoholic options.
Growing Trend
The opening reflects a broader shift toward healthier lifestyles and mindful drinking. According to market research, the non-alcoholic beverage sector in Canada has seen double-digit growth in recent years. Saskatchewan's first such store fills a gap in the local market, which previously relied on limited selections in grocery stores or specialty shops.
"It's exciting to be part of this movement," Kramer added. "We've had tremendous support from the community, and we believe this is just the beginning."
Community Response
Local residents have welcomed the store, with many praising its inclusive approach. "It's great to have a place where I can browse and buy drinks that suit my lifestyle without feeling left out," said a customer. The store also partners with local breweries to create alcohol-free versions of popular beers.
As the non-alcoholic trend continues to gain momentum, Hall and Kramer plan to expand their offerings and possibly open additional locations in other Saskatchewan cities.
