According to Kim Slongo, the director of operations at Foodtastic (the master franchisor for Jimmy John's in Canada), Windsor's demographics made it an ideal choice. Slongo highlighted the city's strong neighbourhoods, steady population growth, and its status as home to one of the nation's busiest border crossings.
"These factors make it a natural fit for Jimmy John's and the type of freaky-fast, fresh, made-to-order sandwiches that guests expect from our brand," Slongo stated.
The owner of the new Windsor location, Akshay Patel, echoed this sentiment, noting the city's distinctive character. "Windsor has a unique rhythm influenced by local industry, cross-border travel, and a diverse workforce," Patel said. "We want to serve guests who are on the move, whether they are commuting, shopping, or travelling. Our focus is on providing a reliable stop for people who want a meal prepared quickly and consistently."

The Windsor Jimmy John's will feature the chain's full menu, which emphasizes freshly sliced meats, cheeses, and vegetables assembled into made-to-order sandwiches. The restaurant aims to cater to the fast-paced lifestyle of its local customers.
