Halifax Greek Fest Returns for 39th Year

The Halifax Greek Fest has returned to the city for its 39th year, bringing a celebration of Greek culture, food, and traditions to the community. The festival, which opened on June 11, 2026, runs until June 14 at the Greek Community Centre on Queen Street.

A Taste of Greece in Halifax

Attendees can enjoy authentic Greek cuisine, including souvlaki, gyros, moussaka, and baklava, all prepared by local Greek chefs. The event also features live music, traditional dance performances, and cultural exhibits.

Community and Tradition

Organizers say the festival is a way to share Greek heritage with the wider Halifax community. “It’s about bringing people together to experience our culture,” said event coordinator Maria Papadopoulos. Proceeds support local Greek organizations and charities.
