According to a contract obtained by Front Office Sports, Lochte will earn a base salary of approximately US$30,000, translating to an hourly rate of $34.10, comparable to other assistant coaches on staff.

The 41-year-old Lochte's contract includes performance-based bonuses: $750 for a Missouri Valley Conference men's and women's championship or co-championship, $500 for each NCAA Championship individual qualifier, and $500 for each relay team qualifying for the NCAA Championship. These incentives could boost his earnings modestly.

In an Instagram video, Lochte expressed his enthusiasm for mentoring young athletes. "It's about more than times and results," he said.
