Lamborghini Crashes After Brief Police Chase on Montreal's South Shore
A high-speed pursuit involving a Lamborghini ended with the luxury sports car veering off the road on Montreal's South Shore. The incident occurred late Wednesday evening, according to local police reports.
The chase began when officers attempted to pull over the Lamborghini for a traffic violation. The driver refused to stop, leading authorities on a short pursuit through residential streets. The vehicle lost control and crashed into a ditch near the intersection of Highway 132 and Boulevard Marie-Victorin.
Emergency services arrived at the scene to find the Lamborghini heavily damaged but the driver, a 34-year-old man, escaped with minor injuries. He was taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation. Police have not released his name but confirmed he faces charges of dangerous driving and fleeing from police.
Witnesses reported seeing the Lamborghini speeding through the area before the crash. "It was like something out of a movie," said local resident Marie Tremblay. "The car was going incredibly fast, and then we heard a loud crash."
The investigation is ongoing, and police are reviewing dashcam footage from patrol cars to determine the exact sequence of events. No other vehicles or pedestrians were involved in the incident.
This incident adds to a series of high-profile vehicle-related events in the region, including a recent explosion at a Ferrari dealership and a Ferrari impoundment involving an impaired driver. Authorities urge the public to report any reckless driving behavior.
