The accident occurred at the entrance to Scottsdale Centre near 71st Avenue, causing significant traffic disruptions as emergency crews responded. Scott Road between 70th and 72nd avenues was closed to allow for debris removal and vehicle recovery.
Injuries and Vehicle Damage
Delta Police confirmed that the motorcyclist was transported to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the silver BMW involved in the crash, which sustained extensive front-end damage, was unharmed.
The motorcycle, described as a late-model Suzuki GSXR, became entangled in the traffic light infrastructure at the intersection, leaving it hanging in an unusual position above the road.
