Peel Regional Police are investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred Tuesday afternoon in a Mississauga parking lot. One person was pronounced dead at the scene despite life-saving efforts by witnesses and emergency responders.
Incident Details
Police responded to a call just after 12:30 p.m. in the area of Agnes and Hurontario Streets. Acting Staff Sgt. Taylor Halfyard said civilian witnesses provided first aid before ambulance, fire, and police arrived. Paramedics continued life-saving measures, but the victim succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
Suspect Description
The suspect is described as a Black male with a medium build, short black hair, and a black goatee. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, a black zippered jacket, fluorescent green pants, yellow Timberland-style boots, and a black watch on his right wrist. Police consider him armed and dangerous, urging the public not to approach him but to call 911 immediately.
He was last spotted at 12:15 p.m. in the Hurontario-Dundas Streets area. Halfyard advised the suspect to turn himself in with a lawyer. Investigators are also appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage from the area.
School Precautions
As a precaution, nearby schools were placed in a hold-and-secure while police searched for the suspect. The hold-and-secure has since been lifted. Halfyard acknowledged the incident is "very concerning" for the community.

York Regional Police are seeking two suspects after a commercial robbery on Monday at about 5 a.m. in the Highway 7 West-Huntington Road area. The first suspect is a white female, about 5-foot-4, with a thin build, wearing a black jacket, black pants, white shoes, a black mask, and carrying a hammer. Home Invasion and Stolen Lamborghini
York police are investigating a home invasion in Vaughan where a Lamborghini was stolen. On Friday around 4:45 a.m., four suspects forced entry into a residence in the Stormont Trail-Carling Road area. They confronted sleeping homeowners, threatened them with a firearm, and demanded cash, jewelry, and car keys. The suspects fled in the victims' Lamborghini, accompanied by a dark sedan driven by a fifth suspect. The four suspects are Black males wearing dark clothing. Girl Seriously Injured in Stoney Creek Crash
Hamilton Police are seeking help after a crash left an eight-year-old girl with serious injuries. On Monday at about 7:30 p.m., officers responded to the Barton Street-McNeilly Road area in Stoney Creek. The girl was riding her scooter on Barton Street when she was struck by a maroon pickup truck towing a boat trailer. She was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Shooting at Residence in King
York Regional Police are investigating a shooting in King that occurred on May 1 at about 3:45 a.m. in the Robb Drive-McCutcheon Avenue area. Officers found damage to a front door and shell casings on the driveway. The residence was occupied but no injuries were reported. At least two suspects arrived in a white vehicle; a passenger exited and fired several shots before fleeing. No motive has been confirmed. Hit-and-Run Injures Motorcyclist
Toronto Police are investigating a hit-and-run that injured a 30-year-old motorcyclist on Friday at about 3:30 p.m. in the Evans Avenue-Sherway Gate area. The motorcyclist was traveling westbound on Evans when a white Mercedes-Benz GLE SUV made a right turn on a red light from Evans to Sherway Gate, cutting into the motorcyclist's path. The motorcyclist could not avoid the collision and suffered significant injuries. The SUV did not remain at the scene.
