Driver Charged After Kingsville Crash

A 47-year-old Windsor man has been charged following a two-vehicle crash in Kingsville on Saturday evening that left another driver with life-threatening injuries.

Crash Details

Ontario Provincial Police responded to the collision on County Road 20 at McCain Side Road just before 11 p.m. on Saturday. The crash involved two vehicles.

One driver, a 65-year-old Windsor man, was transported to hospital with what police described as life-threatening injuries.

Charges Laid

The second driver, a 47-year-old Windsor man, was arrested at the scene. He faces multiple charges:

  • Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm
  • Operation causing bodily harm
  • Not safely starting from a stopped position
  • Impaired driving

Additionally, his driver's license was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded for seven days.

Court Appearance

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor in July to answer to the charges.
