A lucky Alberta resident is $5 million richer after claiming a Lotto Max prize. The winning ticket was purchased in the province for the June 14 draw, though specific location details have not been disclosed.
Claiming the Prize
The winner came forward to claim the substantial prize, marking one of the larger lottery wins in Alberta this year. Lotto Max draws occur twice weekly, with jackpots starting at $10 million and growing until won.
How to Play
Players select seven numbers from 1 to 50. Matching all seven main numbers wins the jackpot. Additional prizes are awarded for matching fewer numbers, including a $1 million prize for matching six of seven numbers plus the bonus number.
Lottery officials remind winners to sign the back of their ticket and contact the Western Canada Lottery Corporation to begin the claims process. Prizes must be claimed within one year of the draw date.
