Six individuals are in police custody following the discovery of a deceased man with significant trauma in Aurora on Wednesday afternoon. The York Regional Police homicide unit is leading the investigation into what has been described as an isolated incident.

Incident Details

Police responded to a call around 2:45 p.m. in the area of Wellington Street East and Walton Drive, near Yonge Street and Industrial Parkway. Upon arrival, officers located the victim inside a residence, where he was pronounced dead at the scene.

While six people have been taken into custody, authorities have confirmed that no charges have been laid at this time. According to CityNews, five of the individuals were found near the residence.

Few details have been released regarding the victim's age, cause of death, or whether he resided at the home. Police have stated they are not seeking any additional suspects. Constable James Dickson described the scene as very dynamic, emphasizing that investigators will follow the evidence wherever it leads. Forensic teams are expected to remain on site for an extended period to collect evidence.
