Frank and Janice Lochan, a couple from Oakville, Ontario, have donated $4.1 million to Western University to advance brain health research. The gift will establish the Frank and Janice Lochan Chair in Neuroimaging for Brain Health and the Lochan Postdoctoral Fellowship Fund in Neuroscience.
Accelerating Future Treatments
The Lochans hope their contribution will accelerate the development of new treatments for brain-related conditions, benefiting families like theirs. The funding will support cutting-edge neuroimaging research and train the next generation of neuroscientists.
According to a university spokesperson, the chair will focus on using advanced imaging techniques to understand brain disorders, while the fellowship fund will attract top postdoctoral researchers to the field.
