Resilience Montreal's new home is more than just a building — it is the culmination of years of planning, fundraising, and collaboration. The permanent wellness centre, located near Cabot Square, officially opened its doors on June 17, 2026, following a celebratory event attended by community leaders, donors, and local residents.
A Milestone for Community Health
The centre is designed to provide comprehensive health and social services to vulnerable populations, including those experiencing homelessness and addiction. It offers medical care, mental health support, addiction counselling, and basic necessities such as meals and clothing. The facility aims to reduce barriers to care by centralizing services in a welcoming environment.
Years in the Making
The project began as a grassroots initiative to address the lack of accessible wellness services in the Cabot Square area. Through extensive fundraising efforts and partnerships with local organizations, Resilience Montreal secured the funding needed to establish a permanent location. The new centre replaces temporary pop-up services that had been operating in the area.
Community Support
Local officials praised the centre as a model for compassionate care. "This is a testament to what we can achieve when we work together," said a spokesperson. The centre is expected to serve hundreds of individuals each week, with plans to expand services based on community needs.
