GoodLife Fitness Free Teen Program Returns Summer 2026

GoodLife Fitness has announced the return of its popular Teen Fitness program for summer 2026, offering free access to nearly 200 gyms across Canada for youth aged 12 to 17. The program runs from July 3 to September 8, 2026, and registration is now open at teenfitness.ca.

Program Details and Benefits

Since its launch in 2010, the Teen Fitness program has seen record-breaking participation as more teens embrace health and wellness. Teens can access all GoodLife Fitness locations from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., seven days a week, with a maximum of two hours per day. Participants have access to strength-training equipment, free weights, group fitness classes, fitness experts, and digital programs.

Why Teens Are Joining

According to Statistics Canada, physically active teens report better mental health, lower stress, and higher life satisfaction. Tracy Matthews, senior vice president of experience and safety at GoodLife Fitness, stated: “Teens today truly understand the benefits of fitness. We hear from teens all the time who want to feel stronger, more confident, improve in sports, or simply stay connected to friends over the summer. For many young people, the gym is a space of self-care and growth, and we’re so proud to be a part of that journey.”

Record Success and Expansion

Summer 2025 was the program’s most successful year ever. GoodLife Fitness was the first major fitness company in Canada to offer free nationwide gym access for teens during summer. Sixteen years later, the program continues to expand, helping teens build lifelong habits around health, wellness, and exercise.

Teen Testimonial

Indie V.H., age 14 from London, Ontario, is looking forward to her second year in the program. “I can’t wait for Teen Fitness to start again,” she said. “I love being able to work out with my friends and stay active while I’m not in school or dance. Last year, the GoodLife staff showed me how to use the machines and helped me learn some workouts to improve my dancing. This year, I’m planning to strengthen my legs and my jumping so I can go back even stronger in September.”

How to Register

Teen Fitness is open to anyone aged 12 to 17. Registration is free and available online at teenfitness.ca. Participants can access any GoodLife Fitness gym during off-peak hours. The program is designed to reduce barriers to fitness and give young people more opportunities to get active.
