CALGARY, Alberta – In a significant leadership transition, BluEarth Renewables has officially appointed Arun Banskota as its new President and Chief Executive Officer, effective February 2, 2026. The announcement marks a strategic move for the independent power producer as it continues to expand its renewable energy portfolio across North America.

Experienced Executive Takes the Helm

Mr. Banskota brings an impressive three decades of executive experience in the energy and infrastructure sectors, having worked extensively in both Canada and the United States. His career is characterized by a proven ability to lead large, complex organizations with a focus on performance, disciplined execution, and long-term value creation.

Most recently, Banskota served as President and CEO of Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp, where he demonstrated significant leadership in the utilities sector. His diverse background also includes:

  • Vice President of Data Center Global Services at Amazon
  • Various senior executive positions at NRG Energy Inc.
  • Advanced education including an MBA from the University of Chicago
  • A Master of Arts in Development Economics and International Management from the University of Denver

Strategic Positioning for Future Growth
