Kennedy Mocks Democrats Over Platner's Scandals
Kennedy suggested that Platner was selected by the "Hamas wing of the Democratic Party" and sarcastically remarked, "Who could possibly have seen this coming? It’s not like there were signs or something." The Democratic candidate faced a series of scandals, including a controversial Reddit history, a Nazi "totenkopf" skull tattoo that he later covered, an extramarital sexting controversy, and his work history with military contractor BlackRock. Despite these issues, Platner won Maine's Democratic primary last month with over 75% of the vote before bombshell rape allegations from an ex-girlfriend forced him to drop out of the Senate race on Wednesday evening.
Kennedy's Critique of Progressive Policies
According to Kennedy, "Every American who was paying attention and who has an IQ above a toaster knew that this guy’s motherboard was fried ... even my colleague [Senate Minority Leader Chuck] Sen. Schumer, who can’t even cook a cheeseburger." He then defended incumbent Republican Sen. Susan Collins, who has represented Maine "since God was a baby," and denounced the Democrats' progressive flank for backing Platner. Kennedy exaggerated the beliefs of even the most radical elected Democrats, claiming, "They stand for the same thing: Kill all the millionaires, open all the prisons, open the border, defund the police, defund ICE. Every single one of them knows the words to the Cuban national anthem. They’re all neo-socialists."

Kennedy continued, "Now, unless you were playing Frisbee in the quad during history class or economics class, you know that the list of countries that has tried, that have tried socialism and rejected it is as long as King Kong’s genitalia." He then rattled off a list of nations currently led by socialist or communist governments, including Cuba, China, Vietnam, and Venezuela.
