The Manitoba government is calling on residents to help choose a new specialty licence plate design that celebrates the province's natural beauty. Five proposed designs, each featuring iconic elements such as campsites, canoes, and loons, are now open for public voting.
Five Designs Showcase Manitoba's Outdoors
The designs, released in an undated handout photo by the Canadian Press, aim to capture the essence of Manitoba's parks and wilderness. Each plate incorporates distinct imagery, including serene lakes, forest trails, and wildlife like the common loon. The government hopes the new plate will promote tourism and pride in the province's natural heritage.
How to Vote
Manitobans can cast their votes online through the provincial government's website until July 15, 2026. The winning design will be produced and made available for purchase later this year. Proceeds from the specialty plates will support Manitoba Parks and conservation efforts.
This initiative comes as part of a broader effort to engage citizens in celebrating and preserving the province's outdoor spaces.
