Coast Guard Plans Diver Search in Bahamas for Lynette Hooker
Officials have announced that the Coast Guard intends to send divers to previously unexplored waters in the Bahamas as part of the ongoing search for Lynette Hooker. The decision comes after weeks of extensive surface searches yielded no results.
Lynette Hooker's daughter described her mother as an adventurous spirit who considered the ocean her 'happy place.' The family remains hopeful that the new underwater search efforts will provide answers.
The Coast Guard has coordinated with Bahamian authorities to identify specific areas where diving operations will be concentrated. These locations were selected based on ocean current patterns and recent sightings reported by local fishermen.
Divers are expected to begin operations within the next 48 hours, weather permitting. The search will focus on depths between 30 and 60 feet, where conditions are safer for divers and visibility is optimal.
Authorities have not disclosed the exact coordinates of the search zone to avoid interference from private vessels. However, they have assured the public that all resources are being utilized to bring closure to the Hooker family.
