Four stranded hikers were rescued from snowy conditions on the Mount Brunswick Trail in British Columbia's North Shore mountains on Saturday, May 16. The rescue operation involved teams from Lions Bay Search and Rescue and North Shore Rescue, who responded to the call for help.
The hikers were reported missing after they failed to return from their trek. Rescuers located them on the trail, where they were cold but otherwise uninjured. The teams provided warm clothing and gear before guiding them to safety.
Officials remind hikers to be prepared for changing weather conditions, even in late spring, and to carry appropriate equipment including warm layers, navigation tools, and communication devices.
