Fox Host Caught on Hot Mic Criticizing WH Dinner Security Before Shooting
Fox Host Hot Mic Slams WH Dinner Security Before Shooting

A Fox News host was caught on a hot mic during Saturday’s White House Correspondents’ Association dinner, criticizing the seemingly lax security at the event before a gunman opened fire. Jimmy Failla, who hosts the “FOX Across America” radio show and the “Fox News Saturday Night” TV program, was heard in a video circulating on X commenting on security measures at the Washington Hilton, where the event was held.

Failla's Hot Mic Remarks

“They have like two random chicks holding the front door open,” Failla can be heard saying. “They’re not even trying anymore. I just mean like they’re not even like Secret Service people, it’s like the girls who work here are holding the door. Even if it was the guys, it wouldn’t even make it better. They might as well put a door stop in. They put up a doorstop and a scarecrow: don’t fuck with this guy.”

The clip originated from a Fox 5 livestream of the “Fox News Saturday Night” coverage of the red carpet event prior to the shooting, which occurred roughly an hour after Failla’s remarks. As gunshots were fired outside the hotel’s ballroom, footage from the event showed Secret Service agents quickly escorting President Donald Trump off stage, along with several other high-profile Trump administration officials, including Vice President JD Vance.
