Country star Morgan Wallen has addressed a viral moment from his concert in Denver, where he flipped a piano onstage after encountering a technical issue. The incident occurred during his performance on Friday as part of his ongoing Still The Problem Tour.
Piano Flip During 'Sand in My Boots'
According to Entertainment Weekly, the 33-year-old singer was performing his song Sand in My Boots when he stopped playing due to a problem with the instrument. He stood up and finished the song a cappella, with the crowd singing along. After the song ended, he turned back to the piano and pushed it over, sending it crashing upside-down as fans cheered.
Wallen's Response on TikTok
Clips of the piano-flipping moment quickly spread on social media. On Monday, Wallen posted a TikTok video to update fans. In the video, he said, "Hey, I just want you guys to know that right now this piano is working," as the camera showed a red piano. He added, "That's what they told me last night." The caption read, "Can't you tell I'm so distraught over my piano."
Previous Incidents
This is not the first time Wallen has had a public altercation with an inanimate object. Two years ago, he was charged with three counts of reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct after throwing a chair off a rooftop bar in Nashville. He later pleaded guilty to two misdemeanour charges, receiving two years of probation and seven days in a DUI education centre, along with a $350 fine and court fees.
Wallen's Still The Problem Tour kicked off in April in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and the Denver show was the first of two performances in the city.
