Kathleen Edwards, Sam Roberts Announce Edmonton Shows

Two of Canada's most celebrated musical acts, Kathleen Edwards and Sam Roberts Band, have announced they will be performing in Edmonton during April 2025, delivering a powerful one-two punch of Canadian talent for local music fans.

Concert Dates and Venues

Kathleen Edwards, the acclaimed indie roots singer-songwriter, is scheduled to grace the stage at the Winspear Centre on April 2, 2025. Edwards, a diplomat's daughter whose music has charted on Billboard, recently released her new album Billionaire in August.

Meanwhile, the multi-Juno Award-winning Sam Roberts Band will make a stop at the Jubilee Auditorium on April 18, 2025. This performance is part of a special five-night run celebrating the 20th anniversary of their certified-platinum album, Chemical City.

Artists' Career Highlights

Both artists originally broke onto the music scene back in 2002. Sam Roberts first gained attention with his EP The Inhuman Condition and its early hit Brother Down. Kathleen Edwards made her mark the same year with her wonderfully-titled debut album, Failer, which featured standout tracks like Six O'Clock News and Hockey Skates.

Edwards famously took a step back from music at one point to operate a coffee shop named Quitters, but has since returned to the industry. She has collaborated with notable artists such as Bryan Adams and Jim Cuddy.

The Sam Roberts Band released their latest album, The Adventures of Ben Blank, in 2023. The single Afterlife has joined their roster of catchy, chart-topping hits that include Where Have All the Good People Gone? and The Band Vs. The World.
