The holiday season is in full swing in Windsor, Ontario, with a packed calendar of festive events designed for all ages. Signature Holiday Events and Family Fun

Windsor's classic Christmas celebrations take centre stage this weekend. The 58th annual Santa Claus Parade marches through downtown on Saturday, December 6. The procession begins at 6 p.m. on Giles Boulevard, travelling north along Ouellette Avenue to Pitt Street. Attendees can also explore a holiday market set up in the Pelissier Street parking garage.

For a more intimate festive experience, Willistead Manor opens its doors for special Holiday Tours. Visitors can explore the historic 1899 Niagara Street manor adorned in its seasonal decor, view the new Coach House Historical Exhibition, and see the Friends of Willistead's holiday display. Tours run on Sundays (December 7, 14, 21, 28) from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and on Wednesdays (December 3, 10, 17) from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Admission is $6.50 for adults, $5.50 for students and seniors, and $3.00 for children 12 and under.

Families can also enjoy Breakfast with Santa at the Event Centre at LaSalle Landing (970 Front Rd.) on Saturday, December 6. The event, running from 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., features pancakes, crafts, face painting, and music. Tickets are $11 per person via lasalle.ca, and attendees are encouraged to support Sparky's Toy Drive with a new toy or gift card donation.

Arts, Music, and Nightlife

Windsor's vibrant arts and entertainment scene offers several standout events. The Very Merry Mousetrap Artist Bazaar returns on Friday, December 6, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Walkerville Brewery (525 Argyle Rd.). This free event showcases 16 local artisans, allowing guests to shop for unique, handmade items while enjoying craft beer and food.

Also on December 6, the Locals Only art show presents its sixth edition at Circuit in Ford City (1055 Drouillard Rd.). The exhibition features work from over 20 Windsor-Essex painters, photographers, tattoo artists, and graphic designers. Looking ahead, the Mom Market Windsor — Holiday Market will take over the WFCU Centre (8787 McHugh St.) on December 13 and 14. With over 100 local vendors, it's a prime destination for finding handmade gifts, festive treats, and more. Admission is free.

For a unique culinary experience, Oxley Estate Winery hosts its final Smokin' Saturday of the season on December 6 at 6 p.m. The $80 ticket includes a four-course dinner built around smoked flavours, live music, and the option to bundle up by the fire on the heated patio.
