New Single and Album Release

Earlier this month, the 26-year-old artist released her single Hit the Wall, which achieved the highest Spotify streaming debut of her career. It serves as the lead single from her forthcoming third studio album, due out on July 17. The album was written and produced by Abrams and Aaron Dessner, arriving two years after her sophomore album The Secret of Us. That album earned her first No. 1 in the U.K., Australia, and the Netherlands, and debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200.

Background and Other Ventures

Abrams is the daughter of filmmaker JJ Abrams and is currently dating Irish actor Paul Mescal. She began writing songs at age eight and made her debut in 2019. Her EPs minor (2020) and This is What it Feels Like (2021) preceded her debut album Good Riddance (2023), which earned her a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist. Beyond music, Abrams was recently named a house ambassador for Chanel and is set to make her acting debut in the upcoming film Please.
