Edmonton Brewery's Special Beer to Fund WWI Memorials in Europe
Edmonton Brew Tapped to Fund European War Memorials

In a poignant Remembrance Day initiative, an Edmonton brewery has crafted a special beer to help erect memorials in Europe for local soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice during the First World War.

A Brew with a Purpose

On November 11, 2025, Campio Brewing launched its limited-edition beer, named Lestock. The project aims to generate funds for the construction of permanent monuments in Europe dedicated to Edmonton soldiers who lost their lives in the Great War. Michael Paruby, the general manager of the brewery, was personally involved in serving the first pints of this meaningful brew on Remembrance Day.

Honouring a Local Legacy

The effort connects the Edmonton community directly to its history. The funds raised will ensure that the bravery and sacrifice of these soldiers are permanently commemorated on the soil where they fought and fell. This unique approach to remembrance goes beyond traditional ceremonies, creating a tangible link between a contemporary local business and the historical legacy of the city's military personnel.

By purchasing a pint of Lestock, residents are contributing to a lasting tribute that will stand for generations in Europe, ensuring that the memory of Edmonton's fallen heroes is never forgotten.
