Chelsea Handler Destroys Bro Comedians at Kevin Hart Roast
Handler Slams Gillis, Hinchcliffe at Hart Roast

Chelsea Handler delivered a blistering set at Netflix's roast of Kevin Hart on Sunday night, targeting MAGA-friendly bro comedians with sharp, pointed jokes that punched up against their manosphere brand of comedy.

Comedian Shane Gillis hosted the event, an ironic choice given he was fired from Saturday Night Live in 2019 after homophobic and racist slurs from a podcast surfaced. Gillis introduced Handler by calling her “a Zionist” and making crude jokes about abortion.

Handler, who is Jewish, took the stage and corrected Gillis: “Judaism and Zionism are two different things. Just like how Chinatown and Koreatown are two different things, but your favorite slur works in both places.”

She then mocked Gillis’s appearance: “Shane has been accused of being anti-Asian. Which is ironic given that he has the complexion and physique of a steamed dumpling.”

Handler next turned her attention to Tony Hinchcliffe, who famously made a racist joke about Puerto Rico at a Trump rally. “Tony is what happens when women don’t have safe access to abortion care,” she said. “Tony and Shane both live in Texas where abortion is illegal, but on the upside, if you see one of them doing comedy, there’s a pretty good chance your uterus will start dry-heaving on its own.”

She complimented his appearance before adding: “You must be using Crest White Supremacist Strips.”

Handler also took aim at both comedians: “Tony and Shane, this must be so exciting for you guys. Usually on Sunday nights, you just burn a cross on someone’s lawn, and tonight you get to roast a whole Black guy.”

She concluded by referencing Hinchcliffe’s friendship with Joe Rogan: “If you’re here tonight, who’s keeping Joe Rogan’s balls warm in their mouth?”

Handler also called out male comedians who performed at the Riyadh Comedy Festival in Saudi Arabia despite the country’s poor human rights record. “Congratulations, you guys. You did it. You helped sway the last election. Now that your favorite leader is making the draft mandatory, I assume that all of you will be signing up to go fight the war in Iran. Or do you tough-talking pussies only go to the Middle East for comedy festivals?”

Ironically, neither Gillis nor Hinchcliffe performed at that festival, but Pete Davidson, Jeff Ross, and Kevin Hart did.
