A mother-son duo from Windsor has been named among the 10 teams set to compete in the upcoming 12th season of The Amazing Race Canada. Ameen Fadel, 26, and his mother Surria Fadel, 62, were announced as participants on June 24, 2026, according to a report by Windsor News.
Local team joins diverse cast
The Fadels are one of ten pairs selected for the new season, which will see teams race across Canada and potentially other international destinations. The show, a Canadian adaptation of the Emmy-winning American reality competition, challenges teams to complete physical and mental tasks while navigating various locations. The Windsor pair brings a unique family dynamic to the competition, with Surria being one of the older contestants in the show's history.
