Tricia Helfer Joins OnlyFans: 'I'm Tired of Being Told What to Do'
Tricia Helfer Joins OnlyFans to Show 'Sexier Side'

Tricia Helfer, best known for her role in Battlestar Galactica, has launched an OnlyFans page, joining a growing list of celebrities on the platform. The 52-year-old Alberta native says she wants to showcase the "sexier side" of her brand while maintaining creative control.

Why OnlyFans?

Helfer told PEOPLE that she signed up for OnlyFans because she is in a "do what I want" phase of life. "I'm tired of being told what to do and how to do it," she said. "I'm looking at it as something to have fun with and something that I can be in control of." Her page will feature professionally shot photos, selfies, videos, and Q&A sessions with fans.

Content and Charity

Helfer emphasizes that her content will stay true to her brand, albeit a sexier version. "It'll be a mix of artistic shots with great photographers and pictures and videos of quiet and silly times at home feeding my goats or weeding my garden," she explained. A portion of her OnlyFans earnings will go to animal charities, a cause close to her heart for over 20 years. "If I have any success with OnlyFans, then it will actually help me be able to donate more money than I already do," she said.

Celebrity Trend

Helfer follows in the footsteps of Shannon Elizabeth, who reportedly made over seven figures in her first week on OnlyFans. Other celebrities like Drea de Matteo, Iggy Azalea, Denise Richards, and Carmen Electra have also found success on the platform. De Matteo credited OnlyFans with saving her financially when acting work dried up due to her COVID-19 vaccine refusal. Jaime Pressly, 48, joined earlier this month, saying she is "evolving with the times."

Personal Empowerment

Helfer acknowledges that some people may be concerned about her decision, but she insists she is in control. "I don't have to post anything I don't want to post. I'm not being pushed into anything, and I can shut it down whenever I want if I decide to," she said. She also noted that while her parents might be shocked, they supported her earlier Playboy spread. "My passion is my job as an actor, and I'm using this platform as an extension of my creative, fun and flirty side," Helfer added.

With her OnlyFans launch, Helfer joins a wave of celebrities leveraging direct-to-fan platforms for creative expression and financial gain.
